Another project of Akira's is Gaspanic, which he formed with his friend Minako Shimazaki. Her style of playing is more delicate and sensitive, which adds more groove to Akira's thrash metal style.

Minako began playing guitar under the influence of her elder brother.
Her musical influence comes from many musical acts of the 1980's, including such American groups as Journey, Bon Jovi, Ratt, and Motley Crue. She is also influenced by many Japanese heavy metal bands as well as many American Heavy Metal bands.
Minako also performs in two other bands: Repllica, and Scapegoat.

Minako proves that she is an outstanding guitarist and diversified musican.

She also proves that she is as good if not better than a lot of male guitar players and her skillful guitar playing combined with Akira Naito's emotional guitar playing will propel GASPANIC forward to a great future.
